Spectrum Issue Handgun

Spectrum forces (Captains, Intelligence agents and security staff, etc.) are all equipped with single shot, 14 round, as standard.

The gun is primarily of silver colour. In the case of the colour-coded agents, such as the Captains, the casing of the pistol will be the same as his/her colour-code.

The hip-holster of the gun, along with the belt, are black.

Mysteron gun (or electron gun)

The Mysteron gun was developed by the Spectrum Intelligence Agency as a weapon against the Mysterons once-human agents.

In the episode "Operation Time", it was discovered that Mysteron agents were impermeable to X-rays (which brought the conception of the Mysteron detector), and vulnerable to electricity, which prompted the conception of the Mysteron gun.

Information taken from a quote by Dr. Giardello:

"A beam of electrons are produced by the electrodes. These are concentrated by the prisms and projected at the speed of light along the reflective barrel. We anticipate (a range of) something like 50 yards."

The Mysteron gun is red and silver. It has a large body, is composed of twin parallel cylinders, a long barrel, and is held by a bar grip against the wearer's chest, supported by a harness worn over the shoulders.

Demonstration of the Mysteron gun, along with the Mysteron detector, was made in the episode "Spectrum Strikes Back." Strangely, in the other episodes of the series, it was never used. Bullets from the handgun seemed good enough to stop Mysteron agents, or, for that matter, a violent explosion. However, in the episode "Noose of Ice", one such agent was electrocuted by high voltage, just like Doctor Magnus in "Operation Time". In "The Launching", the handgun didn't seem quite enough to kill the Mysteron agent, who was destroyed in an explosion.

C38 Mysteron Detector

The Mysteron Detector (code C38) looks like a  large, red, "Polaroid cameras". It produces X-Ray photographs of normal humans, but normal photographs of X-Ray impervious Mysteron agents (and of Captain Scarlet).

The proceed was discovered during the episode "Operation Time", when Mysteron agent Doctor Magnus put his hand under an X-Ray machine.

The Mysteron Detector has a range of approximately 50 yards. It can also works in total darkness. 

Spacesuit  handgun

Worn with the Spectrum issue spacesuit, this weapon is much like the normal Spectrum issue handguns, in that these devices also fire ammunition-shells and not a projected beam of energy.

This pistol device is colour-coded for each Captain. It is held in a colour-coded hip-holster on the right side of the colour-coded Spectrum issue spacesuit, as worn by Captains Scarlet, Blue and Lieutenant Green in episode 18, "Crater 101".
