SPECTRUM UNIFORMS

Spectrum logo

Colour-coded officers

Spectrum colour-coded officers, such as the field agents of higher ranks, (Captains, Lieutenants), commanding and Cloudbase staff members (such as Captain Scarlet, Colonel White, Lieutenant Green, etc.) each has a uniform with the colour of their codename - which in turn serves to hide their true identity for security reasons.

The uniform is composed of a colour-coded tunic, boots and cap (Scarlet, Blue, Green, White, and so on), with the rest of the uniform being of a charcoal black colour.

Spectrum uniforms don't have rank or insignias on them (aside from the Spectrum logo), for the same security reason as for the codename. But the higher ranks can be recognized by their colour-coded uniforms.

Below, Captain Scarlet will serve as our model for the description of the colour-coded uniform.

  1. Colour-coded tunic.

  2. Charcoal turtleneck jacket.

  3. Colour-coded cap. Sides and top are black with a glass visor (13), and the micro-transmitter radio (12).

  4. Colour-code high boots.

  5. Charcoal trousers.

  6. Black belt, with silver buckle. Hold the black holster (9), in which hangs the Spectrum issue colour-coded handgun (8).

  7. Spectrum rainbow logo, on the sleeves as well as on the front of the cap.

  8. Colour-coded handgun.

  9. Holster,on the right hip for right-handed officer. Left for left-handed.

  10. Tunic pocket, on the left side.

  11. Flashing epaulettes. Spectrum epaulettes don’t serve to indicate rank, but rather as a communication device, in conjunction with the radiocap (12). Both epaulettes flash when contact is established with the officer's interlocutor. If it's a colour-coded officer, they flash with the colour of that officer. If the interlocutor is Colonel White, Cloudbase or the Angels, the epaulettes flash white.

  12. Radiocap microphone, on the left side of the face. It will put itself in position when communication is achieved. For more details on the radiocap, see Radiocap.

  13. Glass visor.

Unseen: Part of the uniform also includes a Spectrum issue watch, on the left wrist.
