The Proteus was a unique prototype warship, own by the United States. The entire ship was almost entirely controlled by an AI (artificial intelligence) named MAB. Because of this, the Proteus only need a crew of three men to man it. Armed with the latest state-of-the-art weaponry, the Proteus had enough armament and firepower to start a war. The Proteus had both stealth capacity to hide from scanners and the ability to camouflage itself against the ocean. In doing so, it became invisible to the naked eye.
Drones armed with laser were used for maintenance and security aboard the ship and were controlled by MAB. The ship was equiped with an helipad, and also had escape pods, so to evacuate in case of need. While being tested with the help of Spectrum, and with Colonel White, Captain Scarlet and Lieutenant Green onboard, the Mysteron took MAB over and killed the crew. The Mysterons's plan was to use the ship to destroy a vessel with the Chinese president on board, thus causing a World War. Fortunately, Spectrum was able to stop them, and destroy the ship in the process. |
