Security guards

Security guards wear standard Spectrum uniform, which is composed of a light grey and  black armoured jacket, worn over a black shirt, and light grey trousers. The grey belt is an integral part of the jacket, and sports the Spectrum emblem on the buckle.

Security guards are armed with special designed guns, which can either stun or kill, depending on the setting.

Security guards perform various duties, in or outside Spectrum facilities, such as patrolling, monitoring and restricting access, escorting, bodyguard fonctions, etc. They assist officers on various occasions, and given orders by any of them, or by Colonel White himself, are allowed to make arrests and escort prisoners to the brig, where they will keep guard.

Technicians

The Technician uniform is, in design, quite similar to that of the security guard's. However their jacket is black and blue, and is worn over white trousers.

Technicians will work on different Spectrum bases around the World, including Skybase. They will perform various tasks, depending of their training and abilities.

In general, because their tasks don't demand it, technicians do not wear weapons.

Medical staff

The members of the medical staf of Skybase's sickbay wear a standard Spectrum uniform, white, with light grey trimmings, over a white shirt and equally white trousers.

However, a medic rolling a trolley on which Captain Scarlet's body lay, was seen wearing silver trousers. It it unknown why the uniform of this medic was different from those of his colleagues.

Doctor Gold, sickbay's chief medical officer, wears an outfit similar to that of the staff under his orders. However, his jacket is trimmed with a yellowish gold colour and slightly darker grey.

Flight Engineer

Flight Engineers working onboard Skybase wear an uniform similar in design to that of the Technician and Security Guard uniforms. The jacket is black and red, and is worn over a black shirt and grey trousers.

Cadet

The Spectrum organisation trains personnel in specifically designated compounds for its increasingly growning needs. These "cadets" can thus train to become ground operatives, pilots, colour-coded officers, etc.

The design for the cadet uniform is different from that of any other Spectrum uniforms. It is mostly cyan in colour (jacket and trousers), with trims of pale grey and white pipings on the jacket. The Spectrum symbol is stamped on the left breast, as well as on the arm, near the shoulder.

Spectrum Flight Suit (SFS)

The features of the Spectrum Flight suit is very similar to those of the suit worn by the Angels pilot while at the helm of an interceptor.

The suit permits its wearer to venture beyond the pressured areas of Skybase (height 60,000 feet), keeping him safe, warm et efficient. Made of special thermal fabric, and is designed to react to high altitude coldness and low pressure, levelling up the pressure inside. The suit is skin-tight, yet comfortable, restricting the body's blood circulation and thus further helping the body's ability to keep warm. It is also resistant to friction, so that the wearer can, when needed, perform a high altitude jump from the height of Skybase.

Gloves are made of similar fabric and the boots are well insulated to equally whistand the cold.

Attached to the flight suit is a compact mini tank, which provides the wearer with a small quantity of oxygen, sufficent to keep him safe until out of the dangerous high-pressure area.

To permit the high altitude jump, the Flight Suit is equiped with a parachute.

The flight suit is combined with a transparent helmet. The helmet is equiped with a communication device. The Spectrum emblem is stamped on either side of the helmet.

Spectrum Space Suit (SSS)

Spectrum assignments will often take its operatives in space, to the Moon or to Mars, where Earth has established compounds and colonies. Moreover, it is on a unexplored portion of Mars that delve the fearsome Mysterons.

To permit such missions, the Spectrum operatives wear the Spectrum Space Suit, which is specifically designed for extra-planetary exploration. The suit is equipped with the very latest in cosmonautical technologies.

The suit is made of a sturdy special multi-layered fabric, which adjusts itself to the outside environment, so to protect the wearer from the harshness of space and to keep him comfortable, either in too low or too high temperatures. The suit is sturdy enough to withstand the high winds of Mars long enough to seek appropriate shelter.

For Spectrum's specific needs, the space incorporated the most high-tech in space military features. For this reason, a solid, almost indestructible body armour was incorporated to the suit, protecting its wearer and giving him and almost medieval look. An holster can be attached to the belt, so to carry a weapon around.

The suit is combined with a sturdy helmet, the visor of which is made of a transparent visor as impenetrable as the body armour. The helmet is equiped with a communication device. A light, attached to the left side of the helmet can be turned on to permit the wearer a better view of his surroundings when needed. The oxygen tank, carried on the operative's back, is attached directly to the helmet.

The suit is mostly silver of colour. When worn by a colour-coded Spectrum officer, various pieces are trimmed with the designated colour of its wearer.
