Are the Mysterons even physical beings?
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
Are they even physical beings any longer, or were they ever?
I myself have written a speculative treatise, Mysteron Reversal Of Matter, in which I claim that the Mysterons are not physical beings any longer, though they once were. I there explain that the Mysterons's ability to reverse matter is based on their ability, developed over five hundred thousand years, to tap an extra-dimensional source for what I call "retro-matter," an alien form of matter that can actually restore itself if damaged or destroyed.
Others in this forum, of course, may have other things to say about the subject.

looking through my Crhis Bently "Complete Book of CS", on page 43, it doesn't say Mysterons, but Mysteron computers, when talking about Captain Black's encounter with them.
So what I keep wondering is where are the real Mysterons who made the computers? and what would they think if they knew what the computers were up to?
The computers defintily have a life of their own.
I've noticed that they tend to have fairly black and white thinking. Sometimes they will make a second try at an attack (like in Winged Assasin) but in Seek and Destroy their planes get blown up and they do nothing else. They are also esaily fooled. They assume their first target in Operation Europa is destroyed with the building, even though he is not. They leave him alone and move on. In Treble Cross they do not realize their own agent has been killed and replaced with the ressusitated original.

It could be that Black wanted that agent to be the driver all along, we don' t know.
but Black did give the orders to the imposter - agent.
Black seems to let his agents do the more dangerous stuff, he has to make the initial kill to get an agent, a lot of times. or so it seems to me.

He might get hurt in the crash, and we don't know if he can retrometabolize or not. he wasn't killed & recreated, but sort of 'taken over' so i think they don't want to chance actually hurting him.
i don't want to go off topic onto Cptn Black & his predictament. there are some good threads on it, tho.
