Scarlet's mysteron sense
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
Doc Denim, that is a very well thought out and interesting theory, and I applaud you.
Personally, I think it's more likely that the writers sort of 'forgot' about that ability.....either that or the the continuity girl, or boy, went sick.....or is that me being slightly cynical?
Thanks Carrie - you're probably correct, and I'm sure the original writers didn't worry about such details to anything near the degree we the fans have - but it's just so much more fun to find those creative (if tortuous) routes around the inconsistencies!
And to Intensity Angel - welcome aboard! (and yes, there's all sorts of excellent fic hereabouts - I wish I had time to catch up on it was well!)
enjoy!

Guys can someone help me out with this.
Why doesn't Scarlet's 6th sense go off when he is in the lunar Mysteron complex? Surely he would've been overwhelmed by being that close to the Mysterons?

It did and we didn't see it - the effects are transitory, after all
OR
It doesn't always work - so maybe it didn't.
Finally - the production team don't always bother with it when it spoils the storyline, so perhaps they didn't want to waste time bothering with it.

Another point, what if his helmet was some how protecting him? When he detects a Mysteron agent, or mysteronized thing like that aircraft from Winged Assassin, he's wearing his cap but he is still exposed.
Add to that, what if because he was once an agent, being close to the Mysterons just hasn't any affect on him what so ever, so his 6th sense wouldn't' trigger, like clown fish in a sea anemone.
