What happened to www.supermarionation.net?
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
Apologies if this has been asked/answered elsewhere.
Can anyone please tell me what happened to www.supermarionation.net?
Thanks!

In the past, I made several attempts to contact and get a reply from Stephen La Riviere who owned this site but could never get a response.
I do know that the Supercar documentary DVD which he funded and created, called Full Boost Vertical, is now bundled with the Network Supercar DVD boxset and I must say that his work and attention to detail on a limited budget was tremendous.
I have noticed that he has made a number of posts recently on other forums and it would appear that he now works full time preparing similar bonus DVD material and interviews for a range of cult television series.
He has a particular fondness (NOT!) for Gene Barry who appeared in the cult series called The Adventurer.

Thank you Father Unwin and shaqui for kindly replying to my original enquiry and for passing on your info about supermarionation.net.
Father Unwin's mention of Gene Barry made me laugh, I remember trying not to retch when I read the series synopsis for The Adventurer (which went something like this):
"Gene Barry plays 'Gene Bradley', an international spy who operates under the cover of being a famous handsome millionaire movie star..."
Under the cover of a dodgy syrup and a tight corset more like.
Thanks again shaqui and Father Unwin, deep joy to you both!

Hi James
As you know Stephen had a lot of problems with the message boards and he web site........As much as he would like to have continued he has also been setting up his own production company, which has, as you can imagine, taken up almost every waking moment.
He now has his own server and I suspect that, when time allows he will sort out his website on there though I suspect that the emphasis will have changed a little.
Stephen is coming home this weekend and I will have a word about it and see if there is anything in the pipeline.
From Nicole

I was also concerned about the fact I was getting known for DVD extras when I do so much more.
Also, the benefit of having a company is that I have a dedicated I.T. bod to look after the site, so I can do whatever I like knowing the forum is in safe hands.

Hmmm, is there a line from an SF film or series that goes, 'I always get worried when people refer to themselves in the third person'?
