I think therein lies a lot of the problem. GA never seems to stick around a series for too long. Space1999 had two seasons, Thunderbirds had two, but I can't think of any more like these. It seems to be that he is planning his next work even before the current one is finished.

Well that would be down to Lew Grade, and the continuing failure to sell almost all of the series successfully to the American TV networks - Thunderbirds was a huge success in the UK and Japan, but - even with the 2004 film - remains virtually unknown there. Gerry Anderson started making a second series of Thunderbirds, but then the sales to the US (and possibly commercial failure of the first feature film) screwed things up, and it was curtailed after six were completed.
UFO nearly had a second series because of US ratings, and The Protectors and Space:1999 got their second series because of US interest. The same might have been true of Supercar for the same reason. By the time Terrahawks came around, it was Japanese interest that got the extra 13 episodes made.
So much as I would love to see a second series of NCS, and voted as much, I doubt now it will happen unless there is some miraculous turnaround in the US or global market, and it takes off...

Would I like another series of the New Captain Scarlet we finally got? NO.
It was getting better, I think - it has been so long since I saw any of the second 13 episodes, I can't remember much about them.
Do I think it will ever happen? NO - they can't even promote the series they've got successfully, so they are unlikely to make much money and , money talks.
It seems to me that after the fiasco of the live-action Thunderbirds movie and the debacle of NCS - there won't be much of an appetite amongst the TV or film companies to re-make any of Anderson's series.

Gerry sold the rights to Thunderbirds (didn't he? I don't know much about it...), so he wouldn't be able to remake it...
