We all know Ron Embleton was responsible for the poster that could be made up on the back of the Anglo Bubble Gum cards in 1967:

I just love the 'action Magenta' cards.

It's funny but I always supposed those were meant to be Captain Scarlet but the colour came out funny. I mean, do Captains Ochre or Grey feature as prominently?

Nope...Ochre gets one card all to himself, and Grey's only in group shots.

Fawn appears to be rescuing Scarlet in one of the painting cards, though...

I think it would be fun, as a sequel to the End Titles Fan Fiction Challenge to have a Fan Fiction Challenge where either the writer has to incorporate:

1/ All the artwork cards

2/ All the artwork and photo cards

3/ All the artwork cards in the right order

4/ All the artwork and photo cards in the right order

5/ The scenes on the poster, as if it were the cover of the story they are telling.

I'm way too busy... I've done two interviews this month and I'm doing another one, possibly two, by the end of it. Gotta transcribe them and get the next Upload ready.

And incidentally, I now know the identity of the artist (or artists)... it seems there may have been more than one.

Maybe using ALL the cards might seem a little unrealistic - although anyone doing it, and actually being able to come up with a 'realistic' - such as it is - plotline would win the respect and admiration of his/her peers!

One point against is that I doubt there's that many amongst us have actually seen ALL the pics contained in this series. There is a website on the links page from a fan who have posted the cards from his collection, but it's incomplete, unfortunately.

But the idea of using some of the cards to make up a story - and using the selected cards to illustrated that story - sounds like an interesting one...

Chris - I have a 'full' set of the Anglo bubblegum cards. If anybody would be interested in attempting to write a story concerning some or all of the cards, I will be more than happy to scan them!

luvmylops, why don't you scan the pictures then post them... people might decide whether they wanted to write a fanfic (or not) if they knew what all the pictures are.
Or post the pics that the other fan, 'jeremy', hasn't got on his/her website.

I would MMK, except I do not have a website or the smarts to design one!

I was planning on 'eventually' scanning them once I finish with my other project.

If Chris is willing to post them here, she is more than welcome to the scans.
