Other Gerry Anderson Shows - Regions 4 (Aust) DVDs Info
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
“Gerry Anderson's UFO is scheduled for release on 15 September 2005; although a price has not been announced at this stage. Other Gerry Anderson shows scheduled for release this year are:
• Fireball XL5 - The Complete Series
• The Secret Service - The Complete Series
• Super Car - The Complete Series
These titles are all scheduled for release on 15 September 2005.”
As they have put the UFO release date back before (many times!)...well, let's hope they stick to their schedule this time.

Honestly, the Yanks get everything first, don't they. I still can't get over the fact that the Region 1 DVD of the Secret Service was released there first, but the series was pulled in the first place because it wouldn't sell in America!

I tend to think everything is already available overseas - UK and US - so I'm surprised that isn't the case. I also have a list of non-Gerry Anderson shows I keep hoping will be available here but I won't be holding my breath about it (I'd definitely pass out due to lack of oxygen!)

The latest info from Umbrella Entertainment is:
UFO - release date approx Apr/May 06
Fireball XL5, Supercar & Secret Service - 'mid 2006'
Why am I not surprised...

Season 1 UFO is already out on Region 2 as is the complete Secret Service. Found them on Amazon and in HMV and Virgin

Space Precinct was the first series available on DVD, but has not been re-released and is technically discontinued.

I've seen all the others in Virgin Megastores except the Secret Secret, which is available in R2. I bought it online a couple of weeks ago.

I'd have tracked down an R1 or R2 boxed set of UFO episodes like a shot if it wasn't for the fact that Umbrella Entertainment's set will have some extras not seen in the US or UK versions. As they did a marvellous job with their Department S set I thought it would be worth the wait. Now I'm beginning to wonder....

Ditto re what extras (if any) their versions of Fireball, Supercar etc might have. They won't mention a price for them either.

Retailers (Internet search) seem to have set the cost for each DVD at under $15.
