Hardly worth the wait really. Even though the end credits were squeezed to one side while a trailer for next week's episode was shown, it looked like (very blurry or fuzzy) close-ups of bits of Scarlet's uniform. The final shot is of Scarlet's eyes, then it pulls back to the publicity stance, and he's standing on a Spectrum logo.
Dull, I'm sad to say.

This may be just a one-off feature because Instrument of Destruction is a 2-part episode but I have my doubts. I think ITV have probably decided to take this opportunity to provide teasers for the next episode to keep the audience hooked.
From a selfish point of view I would like to see the end credits but I will see them anyway when I buy the DVD set. In the meantime, I think that I agree with the 'teaser approach'.

The credits were treated appallingly - which seems to be the norm these days for all shows (and is an appalling lack of manners in whichever show/whatever channel it occurs.)
I still think the plot lacked the subtlety of the original - it is made far more obvious that the Mysterons are the aggressors. Scarlet's actions are (whilst being far worse for Skybase) of far less world-wide importance and, I have to say - without prior knowledge of what the plot is meant to be about - it's confusing...

It's a shame - I looked forward to this so much, whilst trying hard not to build it up so much that I was bound to be disappointed. I think it's good, but it could have been so much better.

Have been slightly underwhelmed by the whole thing. The original is an impossibly hard act to follow. Should try harder not compare. On it's own merits NCS is quite good.
Totally ditto Marion (as usual )

Some of the opening scenes are just superb. The close up of Black's face as he listens out for a Mars signal; the close up of Scarlet huffing and puffing during his exercise have got to be two of the most realistic and memoral scenes in the entire series so far. A couple of office colleagues watching the show commented on how the animation looked 'amazing'.
This opening episode (and the second part next week) seem to have used much more motion capture than future episodes as each movement in the characters was so life-like. I guess that in any new TV series a heck of a lot of money is put into the pilot episode to make it look big and attractive in order to grab the attention of potential TV broadcasters who will then be interested in buying it, so I'm sure that more money must have been used in the production of the first episode than the ones that follow.
The credits (what we could see of them) were fine, but then again I knew they weren't going to match those of the original series.
Roll on next Tuesday afternoon.
