Questions to Gerry Anderson
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
Likelihood is that we may never get answers to our questions.
Then again a few years ago, if someone said that we'd see a Thunderbirds movie and a new series of Captain Scarlet within months of each each she'd/he'd have been laughed out of town!
Here are my two questions.
Are there any elements from the original series you would have loved to have kept in the show but wasn't able to?
Are there any content changes in the show which you think are a great improvement on the original?
Over to you!

Is the New Captain Scarlet closer to how you might have liked the original series to have been?
(While I love the suspence of the original, I always thought it limited to some degree by the fact the puppets themselves could not move so much, so virtually all the action was 'hardware'. Not a bad thing, but I'm still curious... )

The news will be put on the News page - and a link to this thread will be added, along with a link to the guests and visitors boards (the only board where non members can leave messages on this forum).
All the questions will be examined by this forum administrators, and I think it's only fair that a selection should be made, for different reasons that I probably don't have to spell out for anyone here. For example, we don't want cynic attacks on Gerry (who will be kind enough to answer those questions) or stupid questions.
The selected questions - which will be submitted to Gerry - will be listed here for everyone to see, so you'll know about them. Please indicate if you want your name (or nickname) to appear next to the question. It's totally up to you.
Then, whenever the list is ready, I'll forward it to Aegis - if it's still okay by you, Aegis! - and he'll give them to the man himself.
So grab your keyboard, people! And start asking!

I think we all expected and looked forward to new characters, but we had hoped to see the return of our favourites as well.

2. What has been the most fun working on this project?
3. Thunderbirds is an obvious choice for a new CGI version , but which of your other series would you like to remake?
4. How does it feel to be working with people who grew up with your creations and were influenced by them in their choice of career?
5. What's it like working with David Lane again. Is it just like the old days?
6. One for David himself. What have you been up to since the Century 21 days?
7 and 8. And a couple for Ron Thornton if he gets to read any of these. Welcome back to freezing cold Blighty!. Is this a lifelong ambition come true and what is your typical day at work like?
I'll shut up now.

Not that I'm complaining about it..
But it suddenly hit everyone by surprise..and I'm intrigued as to why.

So now is your LAST CHANCE to present your questions to Gerry Anderson.
And I have two questions myself for him:
1. I heard say - or read somewhere - that Gerry Anderson is trying to acquire the rights for the making of a new Thunderbirds series on CGI. If this is the case and this is not a rumour, will there ALSO be a second season of New Captain Scarlet? And is there other CGI projects in the wings for the revamp of other classic series?
2. The airing of the new series, starting last February, had surprised everyone in the UK. But so far, airing has been ONLY in the UK. Is there other short term or long term projects for the series to be aired elsewhere around the world?
