I did say in the 'what is wrong with me' thread: Quote:
Blue - oh dear. Well, I am a confirmed original Blue-phile, so anything was going to have a tough time being better - or even as good. For a start - the voice was never going to be as spine -tinglingly wonderful as Ed Bishop's.
However, the original badly-drawn Blue did improve in my estimation when they gave him some witty one-liners. That's not saying much, though.
That's about as far as I'm prepared to go - so take it or leave it
What I was actually picking up on in this thread was the fact that 'adam' said: I NEVER keep my eye out for ever scean (sic) of Adam....
and, of course, I never look out for him either - so we have that in common.
Of course, a joke doesn't work if you have to explain it .

I still think any CS - even if I don't think it a patch on the original versions - is better than no CS at all. In another 40 odd years - in the unlikely event that I haven't fallen off my perch by then - I might think NCS Blue is as spiffing as the original one - stranger things happen.
Cheers,
Marion.
p.s. If I tell you that I'm older than even the show 'old' Blue was seen in - you might understand why I prefer the term 'original!
