Technologies of today as Spectrum equipment against Mysteron
Moderators: chrisbishop, Spectrum Strike Force
An electric jacket designed to fight off assailants.
One might consider it clever, but I wouldn't want to walk the street with it, making a sizzling sound (ESPECIALLY during a rain...)
But could it be transformed into an adequate equipment for Spectrum agents in order to avoid them from being Mysteronise or to repelse the attack of Mysterons?
I wonder...
What do you think of this gizmo?

(a) Install air extraction ducting in the ceiling of all floors to convey smoke to exterior of building. Estimated time to completion 15 weeks; projected cost including feasibility study, rebuilding, working time lost due to disruption, raw materials and labour: $117,500 plus running costs and yearly maintenance of $2,500 pa.
Install "No Smoking" sign in entrance of building. Estimated time to completion 15 minutes including purchase of sign from hardware store; projected cost $9-95.
On the balance, perhaps it would be better if ladies didn't go for walks in places where they're likely to get mugged - especially if they're proposing to wear something as phenomenally useful to muggers as a suit of body armour with a retail value of $1,000!

I think we all remember the bi level plane that gets knocked from the sky inthe secone episode. Apparently there is the possiblilty of that coming into commercial use in 2005.
Now I only have one request in that kind of plane. DO NOT call it a DT-19. That's touching a bit too close for comfort.

I should have found this before my last post.
Now this is a National Geographic site that the top of the page has a chart of various aircraft from the Wright Brothers to the present.
In the lower right hand corner, the plane above and to the left of the corner one, the BIG FAT one is the multi layered plane. It does have some similarities to the DT-19. I think I'll stick to hercs myself.

Some years ago, I saw in the paper an article about a proposed launch system for some kind of satellite delivery system (I think). I was so struck by its resemblance to the Fireball XL5 launch ramp, that I included it in a submission to a paper forum I belonged to at the time. When I get my scanner working again, I'll dig it out and post it in the MSN Archive.

This type of aircraft, actually, has already been in long service. The generic name is "Guppy," for obvious reasons as you can see on this site: http://www.allaboutguppys.com/
This type of aircraft was designed to carry bulky objects that were already assembled at another site, such as NASA spacecraft stages.

This shows more about it, and gives a better picture of it. Still makes me think of the DT-19 though.
