Supermarket Scarlet

I live almost next door to a Sainsbury's supermarket in South West London. This is what happened there this morning...
I went to a checkout with just one other person in the queue, and started loading my stuff onto the belt behind his things. When I'd finished, I started gazing idly into space, as I normally do, but then my attention was drawn to the shopper in front of me, who was having some trouble getting his debit card and Nectar (loyalty) card swiped. We exchanged wry grins (stupid machinery...)and then I thought - you look awfully familiar...
Then he said something to the checkout assistant, and as soon as I heard his voice, I was almost certain I knew who he was.
At last, his cards went through the scanner, and he prepared to leave. I thought, if I let this man go without finding out if I'm right or not, I will never forgive myself. He smiled at me and apologised for taking so long, and I took this as a good opening gambit to say:
"Excuse me, but you look awfully like an actor called Wayne Forester."
He looked very surprised, and very pleased, and said, "Yes, that's me. How did you know that?"
I told him about being at the last two Fanderson conventions, and loving the performance of House of Dolls (which I am now going to watch again!), and we had a chat while my shopping was going through the checkout.
What a nice man...

You are so lucky!
And you're seeing House of Dolls again. I am extremely jealous...
xx
P.S. Sorry for the over-reaction...
