Back onto the Colonel's chair...
Moderators: chrisbishop, Spectrum Strike Force
I would like to thank the Spectrum Strikeforce (this forum moderators team), to have kept an eye on thing when I was away. I actually did check a couple of times myself, while away, but left all of the actions/decisions between their more than capable hands. Good job, gang!
And now, the projects ahead are numerous: this year's Halloween Challenge is coming, right next the corner, and the Christmas Challenge will be upon us sooner than we think!
And there's still a few more projects to be considered for the website: the completion of the new, updated biography pages, and the addition of summaries for all the Original Captain Scarlet episodes, and the completion of the characters and craft and vehicles pages for New Captain Scarlet.
But for the most immediate project: Halloween, of course! And this webmaster is HOPING (crossing her fingers, praying, sending positive waves), like every year, that people will again participate in great number to this annual event!
Let's together, once again, makes this the successful Challenge it had been year after year! This is Captain Scarlet's 40th Anniversary, after all! We must celebrate this in style!

I've been scribbling away during your absence... but now I promise to do some writing instead...
I'm sure Halloween will be a success - there is something that makes CS and the scariness of Halloween perfect for each other.
Poor Paul, I can see him looking resigned to another year of suffering already...

Got an idea for a Halloween story (NCS), which focuses on a minor character. Problem is, I might be having my computer 'MOT'ed' soon, so I'll be offline, and I can't write. PLus, beta'ing etc.

I had an idea for halloween, but it's stalled. Probably still pull something together in the end though.
Am still chipping away at my christmas fic (it's going to be epic, but my standards anyway), so that'll be ready on time.
Anyway welcome back colonel, glad you had a good time.

Oh yes, I know all too well. My first stories were all handwritten first! I don't think I wrote an all-PC story until Chance for a Lifetime, and I even have my doubts about that one.
But if it's the right story, you'll be surprised at how it seems to "write itself" and it will take no time at all to transfer the text to your preferred medium...

My preferred medium is still paper, so I'm trying to cheat and train my OCR engine to recognise my handwriting.
It isn't going so well, though . And here was I thought I had quite neat writing!

Sometimes even I can't read it back... which could explain a lot, come to think of it - the typed version never reads as well as I KNOW the handwritten one did when I wrote it

I love Halloween, just hope I can figure out this plot bunny I have in time...
Never fear...people always come up trumps for this one!

Haven't really been able to write, either. I have tried the pen and paper bit, but there were frankly too many crossings-out for my liking. I have tried to remain philosophical about this, and tell myself I could at least progress my plot in my head. This has only been partially successful - never before have my fingers looked like they could use false nails !
I may get something finished in time for Halloween, although I don't think it will be appropriate for the Challenge. Still, you never know, especially if it doesn't take the twists and turns I think it should !

Still, I have managed to get something for Halloween finished and handed it over to my long-suffering Beta-reader. (Phew!)
Now all I have to do is finish the interminable 'WJ'...and start thinking about Christmas...
Must dash - I have an entire mountain range of ironing to do today
