Cloudbase on Doctor Who??
Moderators: chrisbishop, Spectrum Strike Force
In case you didn't, there was a World Protection type hovering aircraft carrier in the sky. It was almost the spit of Cloudbase, it even had those criss-crossing runways!

It should return, last nights was the first of a two parter. I loved the use of Rogue Traders 'Voodoo Child'!

I thought the city on Gallifrey looked like the Mysteron City from NCS as well - and of course, Cap'n Jack is indestructible.
If only NCS had grown up like Dr Who did....

I like to think that the makers of Dr Who got permission from Sir Gerry. At least I think Gerry Anderson is a knight, I know he's got an OBE.
Gerry Anderson does not have a knighthood (yet) - but he does have an MBE.

I couldn't agree more.
I was thinking of starting a discussion about the Doctor Who episode, but it looks like you lot have beaten me to it!
If NCS hadn't been aired 2 years ago, I have imagined Skybase to look a lot like... *clears throat* be similar to Valient.
Do you think the designers of that Doctor Who episode liked the design of Cloudbase/Skybase and used an 'edited' version of the Spectrum base?
Or is it just a coincidence?

I had read that but didn't realise it till you said it... in other words, two and two didnt make four
