What would happen if Captain Black was captured by Spectrum?

So essentially, assuming Black would not be able to vanish under Mysteron control, what would have happened if Spectrum had caught him?

Presumably he'd be put on trial for crimes against humanity, and - if found guilty, which is likely - locked away in a high security prison and guarded 24/7 for the rest of his (natural) life.
The alternative is:
"Whoops! Really didn't mean to shoot him with that Mysteron Gun.... My bad..." (which is less justifiable, but undoubtedly cheaper.)

Yes, an accident can happen so fast with those things... You trip and it fires...

I'd like to think that they would at least try to see if they can bring him back and save him from the Mysterons. Whether he's responsible for what he did while under the influence could be debated, although he might have a very hard time rebuilding a life for himself if he's rejected everywhere...

The issue of whether Black is alive/dead or even aware and, therefore, culpable for what he's done is a knotty problem in OCS.
NCS Black does seem to have been well and truly dead and revived by the Mysterons and he is far more of a perverted baddy than OCS Black, in that he takes an obvious pleasure in being mean and cruel... so he would be tried and locked away or subject to a nasty and terminal accident. :)
Along with Lady Ochre he's the best thing about NCS. IMHO...

OCS - well, they might try to 'rescue' him from Mysteron control although, if he was aware - or became aware after his recovery - of what he'd done, he might well be a right basket case and need to be hospitalised and put on suicide watch 24/7. OCS Black's biography emphasises his commitment to peace which is poignant given what he becomes.
