Hmm...to quote Harmony last week "I don't know how to feel."

It was...weird. I'm sure what I thought of it...

Same here. It seemed very underwhelming.

Very odd. Did the story actually have an ending or did I just blink in the wrong place?

Great idea (I think!) but very confused delivery - would have been better as the season closer which would have left us wanting more but now I am just seriously confused (which is not all that hard to do, I admit) :? .

It was nice to see Colonel White in bed but can someone explain to my why he apparently goes to bed wearing shoes

One thing I am overjoyed about is the fact that adult relationships have finally made it into sci-fi television. Destiny sitting on the steps of the control room was the perfect way to show her utter confusion. Its also interesting that she sought out Colonel White at a time of emotional stress as though he could help her...

Very interesting...

Once again, Blue forgets his friendship with Scarlet and goes out to hunt him down.

Surely someone should have mentioned the events of Best of Enemies?

Odd that once Black was back under Mysteron control, Scarlet had no problem with trying to kill him.

So...have the Mysterons survived? Is it just Black, or what?

Funny you should say that! I was thinking a little while ago that I'd like to see an episode where Spectrum manage to get in to the Mysteron city, but I'm not sure what they achieved here.

I liked Captain Black's line 'Born to be wild, Scarlet, born to be wild' before launching the raid bikes.

I think I need to watch it again a few times.

Has anyone ever referenced the events of a previous episode, ever?

Convenient how the shuttle they hijacked happened to be the one with the Scarlet Bison inside, eh?

Well I'm really looking forward to see how they explain THAT one next week..... :?

Nope - well, not unless you count the brief flashback sequence in Enigma - but if any one episode should have mentioned a previous one, then it should be Dominion referencing Best of Enemies.

another average story ... anyone else sick of it now ?
only one more to go, probably just as well, eh ?

has Scarlet ever died & come back to life ?
it used to happen just about every week in the "old days"

the majority of stories have been about attempts to kill Scarlet, kill White or destroy Cloudbase.
We haven't had many "proper" captain scarlet stories.

Now a bitter end to the eisode and the series to me would be if Scarlet had blwon up the Mysteron City and Himself (and he died it would be a fitting end to the series Scarlet giving his won life to save earth. And the final scene was White, Green, Blue, Destiny, Gold, Ocher, Grey, Magenta, Indigo, Brown, Orange, Yellow and Purpil as well as The Angels and sevral other Captains and Skybase personel around a Picture of Scarlet in a church gravyard and White makes a spech of how Scarlets Body was reduced to ashes and theres no sign of the Myterons. And how Scarlet made the Ultimate sacrifice he gave his life to save humanity. And maybe a breif 2 second scene of Chldren on a playground whilst white says the last part of his speech.

It certainly was intriguing.

One question: The Mysterons say that Black only thought he'd shaken off the Mysteron control. Maybe this is the same for Scarlet? Maybe he's an unknowing double-agent?

I like the idea that Black isn't evil himself but under control by a malevolence. This is something mooted in the original series - the idea that Black is merely a puppet (if you'll pardon the expression...).

I agree that everyone's opinion of each other changes like the weather. Let's have some continuity please!

It'll be interesting to see what happens next week. If things are shown out of order, it's gonna look messy...

Nice RAID bike launch sequence. Again, I noticed that everyone (including Black) had personalised bikes, as well as Scarlet's Bison.

Earth to Mars in seconds?? My wife referenced that other infamous puppet film, Team America - "You need a montage..."

Well while 'Dominion' was supposed to represent a form of closure, I had hoped it would not represent the end of the series. Had it been a massive success, and a new series commissioned, then obviously Scarlet had to survive even if the Mysteron war may have been ended - after all, it is 'new Captain Scarlet', not 'Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons'. The closing scene was sufficiently open-ended either way, and I applaud the production team for that.

My only gripe was this was a story much more deserving of more time, but again it has to be applauded for painting with broad strokes and trying to touch on as many bases as it could in its brief episode. The scene with Destiny was very touching (I daresay any new fan fic will twaddle around what happens next here  ), we're left with the mystery of what the Mysterons are/were - and what Scarlet and Black chatted about for two weeks! 8)

And what exactly was destroyed in the end - I know what it looked like, and the implications are somewhat mind-blowing...

Just a major, major pity someone has completely f*cked up, and aired this as the penultimate episode. I know the fingers will point at ITV/MoM, but if they weren't told, then the blame has to go back along the line...

Hmmm interesting. I did feel that the action sequence with the tanks at the beginning could have been dumped, and the episode start with Black being captured, so the limited time was spent in fleshing out the story a little, though I know they are keen on packing in action. For instance, we could have seen Scarlet back on Earth at the end and a proper explanation as to whether the Mysterons were really destroyed.

My interpretation: Black and the Mysterons are indeed alive and well, the Mysterons shown by the green rings at the end, even though the base was destroyed. I did like the fact the idea of getting into the base to plant a bomb on the power source was a reference to Crater 101 in Classic CS.

The CGI is absolutely flawless now and shows the progress made - a waste if there is to be no more NCS. Dominion was supposed to be the series finale so Grey Skulls next week won't answer anything - the final insult from MoM....

It was indeed supposed to be the series finale and unfortunately grey skulls will be an odd end to the series.
