Just watched it, what a great episode and it should have been twice as long, maybe a two parter.

Fantastic CGI, that just gets better every week, like some here I loved the snow effects and the subtle camera work.

Yes, not sure how the violence gets past the MOM brigade but it suits the subject fine, giving it an edge over earlier similar shows such as Roughnecks where humans were not allowed to be killed, oopps! just remembered there not human, there Mysterons, well after they are dead anyway, ohh Im confused.

Blue, jeez L I thought he was gonna bite the bullet, if so this board would have crashed with the amount of mourning, thought it was a Sniper Wolf moment (metal gear solid) but as usual it ended far too quickly, no lingering, shame.. Although Im glad he survived I suppose.

Cant believe its nearly all over, gulp..

"I think he nicked me..."

I wouldn't expect any less from Blue; he's becoming my favourite character!

It can be very hard to write TV series and deliver a script where the heroes are in true danger. In the case of most TV series, the main cast will not be killed off and for years we would never have to worry about anyone dying. Usually the word would get out that a certain actor or actress would be leaving the show and at that point, all bets are off on whether their character would die.

In the case of NCS, it is animated and Robbie Stevens probably does more voices and the production company may have seen the writing on the wall while creating this episode and so there was a chance that Blue could have died.

Despite all this, the writing was so good, that most of us thought, even for a second, that it could happen - and that is the hard part.

Watched it again with the MOM rubbish edited out, and struck again by how the MOM advert break and recap really kills any tension. It's much better without it!

When the newly replicated villagers stood in a line with their green eyes, I half expected Michael Jackson's 'Thriller' to spark up and a dance routine to start!

There is no doubt in my mind that the MoM presenters, camera crew etc are doing their best to belittle the show. No doubt this is in retaliation for the severe criticism of MoM received from both the creators of NCS and the fans.

I am not saying that they dislike NCS, of itself, but their hackles have been well and truly raised by the stinging criticism of MoM. The half-way episode recap by "whatshisname" and the antics of "whatshername" are clearly planned in advance. Call me paranoid but even the camera crew are laughing on queue!

I am not particularly upset about this because the brilliance of NCS is there for all to see. It's a pity though, because Holly (aka "whatshername") used to be so enthusiastic during the first series.

For the last few episodes it's been really noticable that NCS is the only thing never mentioned on MoM before it is actually shown. But this time Holly did say something like "and also coming up is the excellent Captain Scarlet", early on in the show.

I wondered if they stuck that silly bit in the middle to deliberately ease the build up of suspense for the youngsters watching it?

Yes I agree with Father Unwin, this constant laughing at the series is plain to see, maybe if they did treat it with respect the MOM show may have also been treated the same way, could they not see they were going to ruffle lots of feathers especially from the older generation who remembers the series fondly by treating it this way?

I noticed that at least the last episode had short title breaks that did soften my normal outrage from the norm, so it maybe too late but they are beginning to take some notice, just got to stop that silly CS impersonation now "whatshisname"

Also wondering if MOM collegues reads this forum?
