Where did they ever say Captain Ocher was a bomb disposle expert.

She hallucinated a bomb in today's episode, and when she and Blue find the bomb in the purification system back in The Achilles Messenger, she says something like "I could never defuse it in time."

That's hardly concrete evidence, I know... :)

I didn't mind todays episode, I thought the opening sequence was great, as were the initial sequences on Mars. Went a bit wayward after that, but I liked the ending.

For those interested Fanderson have posted links on their website for anyone wishing to complain about how ITV have been treating the show.

Indigo?? I always thought that indigo was a dark blue. Unless our TV's hue is severely up the creek, I'd say he was in a purple uniform.

Indigo comes somewhere between blue and purple in the colour err, spectrum. It didn't look dark enough to me to be purple, but could you really have a Captain Violet...?!! :D

I'm not contributing to this in any way whatsoever (no-one told me S2 was on, so now I'm mightily cheesed off :x ), but indigo is a dark blue/purple colour, normally closer to blue. Think of the colour of new dark jeans. And I'm talking normal blue jeans here, not pre-faded or stone-washed or any other such nonsense. Just normal, dark jeans.

I used to use
this or this (last one is a better example - hexcode 330099, if you're interested) as my font colour, but as you can see, it doesn't show up very well. Hence the reason I don't write in my colour code 8) .

Another great episode,

loved the opening sequence, luckily they only took three helicopters as there were only three pads to land on. The mars scenes as usual looked great with elements of Alien 2 and also Roughnecks SST, I did like the idea of the gas and it made pleasent surprise from the Mysteron element.

The more this series goes on the more I love it, the CGI just gets better especially the characters and the virtual camera angles are really starting to look interesting with the POV shots etc.

Please, all you fans petition a third series.

I've been offline since May, so I missed all the hype (although I hear that may be an overstatement).

While I did enjoy this episode with the usual imagery and some good characterization - I found the story to bit a bit slow. I actually nodded off for a few seconds - not something I have ever done with NCS. I think the pace was not the usual neck break speed and I would argue this is a good thing - shows the series has variety.

I personally wasn't over impressed with the story (assets had finished before this was completed, so I hadn't seen tis episode before)... but Scarlet team (i think) made my models for this one look good..... which for me is the primary requirement :D

Cheers!

Been watching the DVDs and I was really disappointed by this. I'm not so keen on the Mars-based episodes - Rat Trap didn't impress me much.

Obviously the visuals were stunning, and you've got to love the reflections on those space suits, but the story seemed to me to be a big rip off of a Star Trek Enterprise show where conditions on a planet induce paranoia - the stories are almost exactly the same.

Having said that, the idea of having a big nasty money-driven corporation being the enemy was very nice, it's just a shame more couldn't have been made out of this story aspect.
