If I was being charitable, I'd say that the Mysteron's inability or unwillingness to deal Spectrum a crushing blow is their way of continuing the War Of Nerves.

Donning my Cynical Hat, I'd say "end of Spectrum - end of series". And we wouldn't want that to happen, would we?

Come on, how many times did James Bond get off lightly, Batman remain unconscious but masked, etc. Let's not pick too many holes here! :D

You'll be saying that Santa Claus isn't real next...

The entire Mysteron idea for story telling is flawed, even in the original. If the Mysterons really wanted to destroy Earth - like they tried in Instrument of Destruction, they could come up with easier methods - end of series. To me, it looks to me more like they are testing Earth. The Mysterons are so powerful and at a different level than Earth, they perhaps could have destroyed it a long time ago. They could be testing or even playing with Earth.

The premise is that an unknown power sets up hurdles that Spectrum must take care of. Most every Mysteron plot so far is stoppable. Is that part of the plan?

The secodn season so far has held up pretty good, as these are all episodes that I haven't seen already for one reason or another.

I was quite impressed that scarlet actually looked wet at the end in the sea. And the grimace when the droid had him by the throat was the best facial shot ive seen since Dr Gold in Swarm.

Cheers!

Glad you guys liked it! The explosions and displays were my babies.....and yes I know about the acquired issue! I don't think it spoilt the episode's feel! Hope you enjoy the coming episodes!

Who said the Mysterons were trying to destroy the Earth in Instrument of Destruction? If a Rhino can end up underwater and suffer no leakage, then surely a Druzynik, with it's much thicker armour can withstand it too?

Episodes like this only make me more convinced in my theory that the Mysterons are testing Earth, since they need to see if it is capable of doing something for them. Most likely aiding in the defence of both their planets against something.

Did anyone except me laugh at Green and Eden's hopeless flirting? You just wouldn't trust him. He seems the sort of guy who puts drugs in your drink at a dance!

I sort-of guessed Green wouldn't take the promotion. She's like an attachment to White, and they seem quite close...

Great episode! One of my faves, and the water, explosion and robot movements seemed to work out well!

'Target Aquired' though...oh dear. :)

Did anyone else get faded down a couple of times? And what was with that stupid 'Scarlet's little brother' rubbish? :x

RE Green's promotion - obviously she had to reject it because of the random order MOM are playing the episodes, she can't be a Captain this week and back to Lt the next...but why did she think a promotion would take her away from White? Where else is she gonna go?

Perhaps she preffered an 'office' job
