Being a car buff i could nt help noticing that the car Frank attempts to outrun Spectrum in was the stillborn Jaguar F-Type,the natural successor to the legendary E-Type.Jaguar,like all of Fords premiere automotive group,is suffering poor sales, yet they scrapped this project,THE most beautiful, exciting and evocative car in living memory,to concentrate on a diesel engine for a crappy estate car!Go figure...

Loved this episode,i cannot believe how lamely ITV treats this elusive jewel in it s tainted crown. They re not even bothering with the opening credits now, what the Hell gives?!!?

Another excellent one!! I loved the car chase and the eagle. Liked the little touches like when hearing the recording of the eagle attack, we hear the wooshing of air past the microphone during the fall.

In TV certain actors and actresses would show up again and again as different characters so that doesn't bother me that much.

It was good to see Lt. Green in some action as well.

I loved it when Frank traps Scarlet in the elevator and escapes - a good amount of humor in this one as well.

"It got in my way" - Blue

Not only that, but that scene at the end of part 1 when they superimposed the presenter in Spectrum uniform over Scarlet was bloody annoying and intrusive. It's bad enough this show is sandwiched in cr*p, I'd rather it wasn't spilling over into the show itself! :x

Ah, so that's what happened. I was thinking the CGI had just lost the plot for a brief moment......!! :D

Hmm yes the superimposing of the fool presenter was yet another MOM low point.

Speaking of cars I wondered where I had seen the red sports car before. I did notice an early 90s Honda in the chase scene - must be a hideous old banger or a classic car by then...and the red truck looked like a current Dodge truck, just like the classic NCS had contemporary looking cars (except Spectrum saloon) The Rhino looks fantastic - just like the SPV did.

Also reminding me of the first series is the re-using of chracters - reminiscent of the puppet recycling. Also, just like in Classic CS, Lt Green organises an "evacuation" of the area - explaining away the lack of people on the streets and saving lots of CGI work :)

"Ah, Lt Green. As always, your assistance is invaluable."

Got a sort of Avengers vibe there... :)

Just noticed that play.com are listing an 'Instrument of Destruction' book to be released early next year...could this be what Colonel White was reading? :)

Hey,

No, Green appears three times: at her desk when White is briefing Scarlet and Blue, when she orders the Washington evacuation and when she rescues Col White from a possessed Frank. She kicks some @ss too, given the beating White takes...
The eagle is mysteronized, like the dog in that series 1 ep. Very cool.
White says the line about Green's help being invaluable - wouldn't call it flirty - think he's a bit old for her...!

Hope this helps,
Doc

Errr....good episode (I got the tape), but, everything seemed at the wrong speed. Example; When Green kicked Frank, and generally beat him up, it seemd to be going to slowly, but it wasn't in slow-mo.
The face detail was amazing on the brothers, but general animation was poor...I thought. Liked Franks voice though! :-D

Story Highlight: Green smacking Frank in face...
Story Lowlight: Ending. 'Wherever you are Frank, Good luck...' Yawn...
Overall: Six ( I do tend to like episodes with Ochre, or Blue and Green flirting more...
