Very Old! (Marion - bite your tongue! As one of your contemporaries, I refuse absolutely to allow you to make such statements!)

However - Little Vickie - I would have expected far better from one of the colonel's offspring. Perhaps she was adopted.

More later.....

I wondered why the control tower was blown up - it wasn’t as though they could stop the Vampire. I thought Victoria looked quite strange (certainly nothing like her parents). I didn’t find her calling the Colonel ‘Daddy’ quite as awful as I expected - it seemed like a cultural thing. (I might have thought differently if they were talking in broad Aussie accents.)

This time around Spectrum are not exactly high on protecting identities. Aside from the Rhino under the house, Colonel White was back home in uniform. I think Scarlet also underestimates the Colonel's importance to Spectrum. It's not going to fall apart due to some percieved scandal concerning him. Senior military positions are generally filled by a person for only a couple of years then they are posted on, retire or whatever and someone else gets the job. Colonel White would have to retire some day (or take one of those politically appointed cushy posts in the World Government perhaps). :)

I sure wouldn’t like Dr Gold as my GP - he seems far to fond of sticking needles into people, without much warning. As usual Black saves the day…I mean the episode. He gets my vote as the best character in the new series. Loved the hologram scenes.

A pretty good one here. Like others posting here, I like the pacing of the story - a bit slower with soem good action book-ends. I'm not sure how much I buy the idea that White must be onboard Skybase everytime something bad happens - he really didn't do too much - couldn't he have radioed in from the parking lot and told the Angels to stop the Vampire fighter at all cost?

It appears that Spectrum is known to the world, White's daughter knows the name and refers to Scarlet by his code name, but she is unware of the Mysteron threat - this brings up the entire "What was Spectrum before the Mysteron attack?"

Animation highlight - Angel attack on Vampire fighter
Story highlight - "How were the sandwiches?"

7/10

Yup. liked this one.

Its a good idea to flesh out Colonel White (although I might be a tinsy bit biased there). I like the conflict between doing what he sees as his duty and the needs of his family.

I also like the notion that CW can be a bit of an action man - he's not just the stuffed shirt (or colour coded tunic) sitting behind his desk

Could have done without the Charles and Diana thing especially as she would by Lady Diana but I can live with it.

My only niggle is the supreme wetness of his family. A weak and weepy wife and a simpering daughter, the man should have been treated better. Where's the strong wife who can give White a run for his money and the daughter who can stand on her own two feet.

Loved the episode.
Now I know why Captain Blue is my favourite character. Looks great in civvies and the thing with the sandwhiches, "Great!"
