Spectrum 40,000
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
This is an incredible looking forum.
So much to read....
I was a fan of the original series back in the day and was quite surprised to hear about the 'updated' one recently.
I am also a big fan of tabletop wargames, in particular one called Warhammer 40,000. It is a big, dark, grim sci-fi future game with glimmers of hope for humanity, etc. Players build models of their 'armies' and wage war with each other.
In the new Scarlet, there are armoured vehicles known as 'Rhinos'.
In WH40K, their are similarly armoured vehicles known as 'Rhinos'.
Click! went the lightbulb...
I couldn't help but consider the idea of building a mobile force of Spectrum troopers. There are some WH40K models that bear enough similarity to the series costumes that if painted appropriately could be easily recognizable.
Of course, I am searching around your forum for plausible sounding arrangements of Spectrum officers, etc. Personally, I wasn't sure if I would simply break down the commanders of individual squads to be Scarlet, Blue, etc with the squads sharing the colour designations (making the troopers Scarlet 3, Scarlet 5, etc --- this would make for a more impersonal military arrangement) or actually painting each soldier a different colour in a similar pattern (coloured boots/vest/helmet & black pants/shirt.
Any opinions, suggestions, etc would be appreciated.

I like the idea of a tabletop game; as a matter of fact, I also play them myself.
It would be excellant to see something like this shown in the shops. Unfortuantely though, I don't think it would sell.
Never mind though! Still a challenge for people like you or me.
