I know it is not much but I though it was important enough to mention.

You can find a little bit of info about the upcoming DVD set on the Spectrum Headquarters News page- as well as other information, about toys, the upcoming season and other DVD releases (from other series) and...

This cover is good, but actually, I prefer the one they prepared for volume 1 (episodes 1 to 4)

But why doesn't NCS appear in any of the mainstream magazines?? Does no-one care about this series at all??!

Everything I've seen in the sci fi press has been from broadly positive to very positive about the show, and yet we see hardly any coverage!

Excellent - more promotion is needed.

I did hear that BBC2 was going to re-run the Classic series this autumn - but no sign of it yet - I haven't seen this next-week's copy yet.
Strange - but even though I have videos and DVDs I shall still try to watch it on TV. It's almost as if seeing it on TV makes it special somehow!

Shame the series wasn't sold to the BBC in the first place. In the past the BBC gave each series a good time slot around tea time, certainly the first and second time they showed them. I'm sure the show will do very well in Japan where Gerry's series go down very well. Just look at the merchandise still being made in Japan for the 60s shows Hopefully when Scarlet is shown in the US, Japan and the international market it will ensure more shows are made with international funding. I've given up on Granada, can't see them putting any funding towards the new series (Lightspeed )after the way they've treated this one.
