No sign of the Rhino, Cheetah or the two smaller 3 set vehicle packs yet. By the way at the Toy Fair there were a few more prototypes of the smaller vehlcles - Rhino, Albatross, Russian Tank which don't seem to be coming out yet.
I see the Corgi Rhino and SPV are due next January. Missed christmas then. Stiil at £14.99 each they should be reasonably large - about Dinky toy size. Looking forward to a similar sized Corgi Falcon.

Have you also got the Captain Scarlet figure to plug into the Rhino to activate the hidden phrases?

I really like the fact that the hats come off - they really look good and I love the packaging. For ordering online - nothing so far - Argos and ToysRUs don't have international service so for overseas, the wait continues.

About Matchbox/Hot Wheels size, all plastic.
The Cheetah is very accurate - has jet engine sound fx.
Hummingbird is very nice - has painted green cockpit windows instead of clear windows. Helicopter blade whirring sound.
Vampire fighter is really cool, has a jet/rocket sound. Now sitting on my PC.
Swift is real nice. No sound fx and pretty accurate, no big wheels or anything.
Falcon looks like it needs to go on a diet. Also has a large plastic lump underneath at the back for the electronic sound fx of a jet/rocket.
Spectrum Skybase rescue vehicle. Very cute. No sound fx.
Passed on the larger vehicles but they were on display. Rhino looks awesome, Cheetah and Stallion very cool, only the Hummingbird looks a little odd as the cockpit is too short.
The box for Skybase is enormous. Comes with a different Falcon (but same size as in the mini-set) which has a removeable nose and escape pod.
Now roll on the Corgi diecasts!

Are those vehicles you got accurate? It looked to me from photos that some of them looked fat. Also, do all the planes have wheels? Just curious. I may wait to see what the Corgis final product look like.
Thanks

The planes and Hummingbird don't have wheels but have landing gear down (if you can call it landing gear - more a plastic shape - though the Hummingbird gear does look wheel shaped).
The Swift is also pretty accurate, and its landing gear is up. The Skybase rescue truck looks pretty accurate considering it was on screen for about 3 seconds!
They are all really toys rather than models, and they are fun. You even get a tiny figure of Fred - the Skybase launch robot
The Vampire's shape is almost right but has been moulded to included the large fx chip at the back. Same with the Falcon which I think is the most inaccurate of all. Sad since it's also my favourite design in the series.
Hummingbird - shape is right but the canopy has been painted solid green.
They're all quite small at around 3 inches each.
So in accuracy order (just my opinion):
Cheetah, Swift, Rescue Truck, Hummingbird, Vampire, Falcon.

Like you I'm also looking forward to the Corgi diecasts. Perhaps when the series reaches Japan the Japanese may produce model kits and their very accurate Candy Toys ( http://captainscarlet.sfdaydreams.com/kscarlet.htm )

I didn't think the Captain Scarlet voice sounded much like him, but the Captain Black figure was excellent, with one phrase in particular spoken in a really spooky Mysteron voice...!!
(I know it's not mine, but darn it he hasn't let it out of his sight so far...)

Also, any more news on mini-vehicles of the Rhino, Albatross and Russian Tank, or have plans to put them into production been scrapped?

There is a button on the top of the Cheetah that produces a jet engine sound so you can pretend the car is leaping into the air.
I've also seen pictures of the prototype Bandai 3 inch line with the Tank, Raid Bike, Rhino and a Cheetah with wings closed in a Toy magazine, but it looks like they're not coming out. Perhaps if the series does well in Japan they'll be made available as they love Gerry's shows over there and still produce tons of merchandise.

Yorkie, if you or anybody else has that toy magazine, would it be possible to scan the pic and post it, so we can see the prototypes.
