In the last comment posted by FireFlash he said Granada Ventures and Sony both want at least fifty two episodes of new captian scarlet.
This is the first I have heard of this, does anyone know if this is true or not.

You'd have to ask Aegis, he'd know.

Does this mean that after 14 June the entire Stanley Kubrick building in Pinewood will become a ghost town - bar Gerry and his desk?

Given your great work you guys will be in demand so all the talent is lost?
Then if the series is sold around the world later in the year Gerry has got to virtually start again for series 2 or a new show. Aren't the marketing guys selling the show now to bring the money in to keep everything together?

I totally agree. I am sure you guys will be recruited by other TV productions/adverts/films etc, which is what happened to some of Gerry's team in the 60's. So it can only be good news for you guys, and I'm sure working on the series has improved your status. If Gerry has not been given the "green" light to commence work on another series, then I guess it is obvious that the team has to be dismantled.

Gerry would need to secure another £25m or so before production on another series could begin. I guess the marketing guys/finance team must only be in the very early stages of recouping the costs of this first production through international broadcast sales and merchandising. As the merchandising in the UK will only start in the summer, and the rest of the world commence broadcasting the series later this year, it might take a while to raise the money required.
I bet if Gerry gets the rights and the finance to do a CGI version of Thunderbirds, I'm sure a great number of the current team would love to come back on board to work on it.
