The New Series on TV
Moderator: Spectrum Strike Force
An 8 year old reviewer says:
I think its perfect for my age, and I also think that younger and older kids would enjoy it too - even adults.... (which is really useful to know )
However, there is no running order for the showing times on Ministry of Madness - so looks like I shall have to video the entire (probably awful) program
4 days and counting.......

My grandparents get the radio times, might have to coax it from them (when they're done with it of course)
Yay four days *does happy dance*

The voice-over announcer said that the CS series was due to air at 10.25... no idea if that is just the episode - there was talk of a behind the scenes expose as well - to run before the show...
Gerry likes to keep us guessing, I suppose

Glad to see you're all looking forward to the new show - I can't wait to see it on TV myself - looking forward to seeing what you think of it!

SPECTRATECH MAIL NEWSFLASH
CAPTAIN SCARLET ON CiTV!
Don't forget to tune in for Instrument of Destruction Part 2, the next episode of Gerry Anderson's New Captain Scarlet, on CiTV's Ministry of Mayhem, Saturday 19th February.
The first part will be at 10.25am, and don't forget to stay tuned for the second half later in the show!

So I think we may deduce from that, that CITV are intending to shove 20 mins of inane drivel in between 2 ten minute slots of CS again....
I have to agree with Fanderson on this - they said:
Ministry Of Mayhem series editor Vanessa Hill told FABNews, "We're all extremely pleased to have New Captain Scarlet on MOM - it's a fantastic animation. Viewers expect high quality programmes and this certainly fits the bill. We hope that viewers of MOM enjoy the series as much as the presenters and production team have."
Sadly Hill's respect for the series was not reflected in its presentation, and many viewers were disappointed to find the first episode split into two ten-minute chunks separated by fifteen minutes of an inane quiz game in which the presenters and members of the studio audience attempted to determine the true identity of the mother of Lee from boy band Blue.
I think CITV are showing less than respect for the new series - don't they want it to do well?

Good news - they showed it in one slot - apart from the obligatory adverts - bad news - I had to sit through the entire MOM programme
First impressions?
Neat story - neat ending...

Yeah but the bad news is still no end credits!
More impressed. Certainly continuing towards improvements. And some great scenes/lines too! Loved the one about 'cutbacks', and the brief but lovely scene between Black and Destiny. I hope that isn't the end of that...

Carrie (or anyone else with the Sky listings), do you have a VideoPlus number that I can pass on to my useless bro so that he doesn't have an excuse not to tape it in future? (Not that I'm complaining about the fact that he forgot to tape it or anything...)

Like with the re-do of Battlestar Galactica, I prefer the orginal. I only wish they'd ditch it out of MOM.
Anyone notice that Destiny's more or less British? Harmony in part two is still Chinese, no sign of the others yet. Still time to come.
