Well, you probably heard the rumours about this so far - Carlton is supposedly working on a possible new movie of Stingray in CGI, tentatively entitled "The Golden Voyage of Stingray", and in collaboration with Dreamstable Productions.

I found an interesting thread on the Fab Gear forum, as well as two stills that you might want to check out. Click this link here.

This is extremely exciting news: if the representations of Troy and Surface Agent X-20 in the above link are examples of CGI as opposed to simply artists' sketches things are definitely looking good. I'd say Troy's a little young possibly, but perhaps that's just me getting older.... Now then - how about Fireball XL5 as well? After 42 years, it's about time we saw that series in colour! :D

Coming to think of it, if we have both Scarlet and Stingray appearing in CGI, maybe we'll get to see scenes* like the one below without the strings getting tangled up...

[* I hope the original artists will forgive my borrowing the images and mixing them up a little on my PC to produce this pastiche.]

Doc...once again, you are amazing! That still is superb! Now I know someone who would like that to appear in their wonderful story Concordia..and it's not me!
keep up the good (nay...FANTASTIC..) work

Thanks Carrie! (Actually, Concordia's one of mine :D. I wrote the end of Chapter 15 after generating the combined image, which I must stress I didn't draw - the graphics are the copyright of the original artists. All I've done is to rearrange them a little to suit my purposes!)

If you were inpsired to write by the picture, Doc, then I think it should definitely grace the posted text of the story!
Mind you, Scarlet doesn't look too pleased with his 'little armfull'... was Rhapsody lurking somewhere, keeping an eye on him? Or is he just wishing he didn't have that effect on women?

True - the expression isn't quite what I wanted, but it's close enough to "The venomous little squid responsible for this is gonna be pushing up seaweed when I finish with him" to be usable! As far as Rhapsody* is concerned, though, I won't tell her if you don't...

[* Mind you, on the basis of Chapter 3 of "The Concordian Legacy", I'd say there's a 1/3 chance that she could have a skeleton in her own closet. Why not a 1/5 chance, I hear you ask? Well, I reckon Destiny would swear in French, and I can't imagine Harmony swearing at all!]

I'm guessing this never happened?
They made Thunderbirds in CGI too didn't they?

I'd love to see Fireball and Supercar in colour.
