It seems it has gone beyond rumours... Here's a bit of information that I read on the TV Century 21 site (always an interesting site to visit) - about the Joe 90 upcoming project - and yes, it really looks like it IS upcoming...

I wonder if the poor performance of Thunderbirds has made Disney think again on this one?

Things have been pretty quiet on this front for a long time now...

I think you are absolutely right. No doubt Disney would not have even pursued pre-production on the movie until after they discovered the box office receipts of Thunderflop. As a result of its performance, I'm sure they are having second, third, and perhaps fourth thoughts about a Joe 90 flick.

Perhaps they'll put it on the back burner for a while and see if any other movies similar to Spy Kids are made in the future and perfom well at the world box office.

I'm guessing this never happened?

I think the concept is there.
It could be done.

It would be nothing like the original though, I think who ever decides to make the film will make it more along the line of "Spy Kids" or something.

Totally agree. Disney is becoming quite predictable :) Anyways, I'd love to check it out and I'm pretty excited :)
