Terrahawks CGI?

It is Earth year 2020. Alien spaceships approach the planet Mars. The NASA Expedition HQ is spectacularly destroyed. Androids have journeyed from the planet Guk, in the galaxy of Alpha Centauri. Their witch-like commander, Zelda, sets up her base on Mars and lays plans for the invasion of Earth... and the destruction of the human race....

From what I remember it wasn't such a bad series. I think it might be intreasting to see a CGI version or even dare I say a live action one. Alright I know Gerry in the past hasn't done well with live action mostly because of his 'actors' pulling diva moments here and there I.E "He's got better billing than me I'm going on strike!" and such things.

I wonder what things would look like and yes I still remember the battle tank.

Any thoughts anyone?

Acually, Im currently viewing Terrahawks for the first time. I dont think it could work. And it is a combination of TB and CS I feel. So it might not work...

I love Terrahawks,

I hope he does do a cgi version. I mean all of the original voice cast are still going strong, and I love Kate Kestrals songs. But I would like them when I buy that Terrahawks cd sometime.

Regards
Craig

Although the resurrecting of old topics isn't usually my style... Terrahawks would RULE as CGI. But then they'd probably do something like make it completely slapstick (since it was fairly off-the-wall by the end of its run - I liked the more serious ones) or change half the characters or something.

But then I'm biased. ;) *heart 101*

I'd have to say no.

To me, Terrahawks is the weakest of all the GA shows and best forgotten.

Well i quite like the series for what it is - certainly the latter episodes had some nice production and quite funny takes on various SF concepts. I don't think it was ever going to lead on any polls of all the GA series but I wouldn't say no to an updated version...

Yes I think live action is best forgotten not a good idea. Hmm a CGI Terrahawks could work and yes I was a fan of the battletank.

I notice some of you don't like the idea saying it was a weak show, no the worst show GA has made was U.F.O. a rather at best sketchy fx and over the top acting from some. Silly idea very odd, next up was Space 1999 we won't go there.

Re-worked Terrhawks might be a good idea. Gerry hasn't really said much but I doubt a live version of anything is in the works. Really live action hasn't been good to GA.

I do wonder what happened to the proposed show 'Zero X' as that was supposed to happen before 'Thunderbirds are go' but GA couldn't get a backer that would behave and wait for a cut of the profits :(

We do know several models were made and puppets as well, but they went into Thunderbirds are go in the end.

Are you kidding?
I'm currently viewing UFO for the first time, and I must say, it easily rivals Thunderbirds. And that is a big call.

Hmm well lets take the 'interceptors' for one thing, basily they are a small one man fighter craft that's armed with a Huge missle on the front. Please one shot and your done.

Hardly a very good interceptor if you ask me. Even the angel aircraft from OCS had better weapons than that. If you look at the background in one show you can see the edge of the set wobble lol. Not exactly the best of shows, but there again GA has never been able to pull of a good live action show not his fault just Diva moments and I want better billing than him/her. UFO is supposed to be set in the distant/near furture and still using ballistic weapons please.... Then basing the show in what 1980?

GA had better luck with OCS as that was set in what 2067?
I think setting it in 1980 was asking for trouble it was what a 70's show and ten years to build a moonbase? I don't think so, we still haven';t done that yet and it's what 2007.

If this show was re-made/updated I'd get rid of the intercetor with thier one shot and I'm done weapons and replace them with something using directed engery.

The only craft of any intreast was to me 'Skydiver'.

Terrahawks has never struck me to be honest, however as CGI series or movie would certainly be interesting to view.

I viewed Terrahawks very recently too.

Though it bears similarities to TB and CS it is more metro, and has a whole lot more funk to it. I guess it was supposed to be a spacey, out of control, "don't watch this on mushrooms" type series.

I am in the process of finishing a Scarlet marathon, then I will be watching the Fireball XL5 box set I just bought. Then, I will fully commit to Terrahawks as I was getting into it at first but just stopped watching for no apparent reason other than getting distracted.

Where did you get the boxset from?

There's a new re-packed set available at Amazon.co.uk, which had been released in the middle of last September. You might be interested to see if the price is within what you'd like to pay:

By the way, a note to our members who like to order from Amazon: this website is an Amazon Associate.
