So yeah, could well be just a TV21 invention.

The VERY FIRST Lady Penelope strips from TV/Century 21 identified him as Aloysius 'The Nose' Parker. Now as I'm not an expert on the chronological order in which the series was produced and the strip was drawn, I don't know which of the first came up with the nickname 'The Nose' - the strip or the TV episode.
The series started production in 1964, so the first episodes would have already been filmed, and more scripts commissioned. I think the change to making one hour episodes would have been made about the time 'TV Century 21' was in preparation - say late 1964.
I'm of the opinion you are right, and the first name was never used in the series but you are wrong the first 'TV Century 21' strips used this name. As the guide to those strips shows, the opening paragraph only refers to him as 'the Nose Parker'.

The earliest mention I can find, so far, is in the first 'Thunderbirds' annual, published in the autumn of 1966 - by the time production of this annual was underway, filming would have been completed on the first 26 episodes.

Born on May 30, 2013, Aloysius Parker is the last of a long line of faithful Cockney retainers who have served the English aristocracy for centuries.
However, unable to follow in the family tradition and find employment as a butler, he fell in with various villains in the London underworld--who taught him the tricks of the trade.
A quick study, Parker soon gained a reputation as one of the world's finest safe crackers and cat burglars, a reputation that also landed him in prison for a spell.
After his release, he attempted to make an honest living, but only to fall back into his old habits. He was caught by Lady Penelope Creighton-Ward as he was helping himself to the contents of an oil tycoon's safe.
Penelope had heard of Parker's superior talents and offered him a working partnership in her espionage activities, as well as employment as both butler at Creighton-Ward Mansion and as chauffeur of her Rolls Royce, "FAB 1".
Now 52 years old, he remains a loyal & indespensible assistant to Lady Penelope during her dangerous assignments for International Rescue.
