UPDATES, May 22, 2006:  New page - Officer's uniform (Cap, side-arm, utility belt and accessories)

OFFICER'S UNIFORM

  1. Armoured jacket, made of a fibre-reinforced composite.  The personalised colour-coded jacket is light to wear, but very tough.  Its surface mesh can disperse the energy generate by a laser fire, thus limiting injuries to the wearer.

  2. The body suit worn by the Spectrum officer is made of synthetic rubber, with micropores, making this a 'breathable suit'.  Polymer filaments makes the suit highly resistant to any hazard (be it extreme high temperature, weather beating, tearing, etc.).  An additional 'anti-toxin' membrane has been integrated to the suit, in order to counter the possible absorption of nerves gas through the skin.  Yes, despite all these features, the body suit is comfortable to wear and allow freedom of movements.

  3. Cap, sporting the Spectrum emblem..  Also personalised to the colour of the wearer, the cap is made of NeoCarb polymer, protecting the wearer much like a helmet.  A communication device is integrated into the cap.

  4. Epaulettes.  Captains and Lieutenants wear silver epaulettes.  The high commander (Colonel White) wears gold epaulettes.

  5. The utility belt can be used to carry an range of weapons, tools or any accessories needed by the officer.  When coupled with a sturdy line, it can be used as a harness.  This belt holds standard accessory canisters (six in total) and a large equipment compartment, so it can be customized for the needs of the missions, in order to carry tools, weapons and/or other portable equipments. See below for assortment.

  6. Belt buckle, sporting the Spectrum emblem.  Captains and lieutenants wear a silver buckle.  The high commander (Colonel White) wears a gold buckle.

  7. Standard side-arm, holding  into the thigh holster by magnetic clamps.

  8. Body suit.  See 2.

  9. Combat boots.  Tough, but very flexible, they are made of high-impact polymer shin-shields.  The soles are charge-resistant.

(3) The combat cap comes with an integrated communication device.  The microphone is attached to a rigid wire which rests underneath the transparent visor.  Whenever the officer needs to make radio contact, the wire falls down to put the microphone into place before his mouth.  Speakers are mounted inside the rigid cap. A drop-down visor also comes with the cap, giving night-vision to the wearer when needed.

(7) Side-arm specifications:  PlasmaPulse LX900 Laser Pistol;  equipped with target-sighting IR beam, a variable setting (stun or kill, just over the handle), and a charge of 300 rounds at max power.  This is a personalised handgun, sporting the agent's colour code on the handle.

(5) Assortment of utility belt equipments:

Electromagnetic explosive charges

Programmable for precision impact and target.  The timer can be set by a quick twist of the dial, giving time for the user to get into safety before detonation.  This detonation can be set to either wide scope or incendiary blasts.  Can be clamped upon surface to detonate.

Charge in place. Dial set.

Ready to detonate.

Location beacon

Part of the standard equipment, the beacon is secured to the belt, and should be activated at all times, so to allow the satellite-tracking system to know the exact location of an agent.

Multipurpose laser pen.

The laser beam from this pen-looking device is powerful enough to cut or pierce through thick metal.
